Indeed, one thing that has become very clear during these first six months is that my Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duoface is such a beautiful, different, and most of all fun watch to wear! It felt a bit like the start of an experiment when I bought it. After much hunting and poring over catalogs and visiting dealers, I decided on a Jaeger Le-Coultre Reverso Grande GMT (RGGMT from here on) in steel. The standard alligator strap wasn’t very flexible or comfortable for me, and left the watch sitting high, so I went for the bracelet model.In a nutshell, the Reverso offers iconic design, practical functionality and accessible pricing. If you would like to wear a timepiece that is unique, beautifully handcrafted, less recognizable, and yet as high a quality as a Rolex, then the Jaeger LeCoultre is an excellent choice. The Rolex is a better choice if you subject your timepiece to more rigorous conditions. I would go for a JLC Reverso over the Tank. Not the biggest fan of the Tank. The Reverso looks more elegant. I think the Carrier Santos is the better option from Carrier. I like the design from it very much. I was close to purchase the Santos earlier this year. It's a textbook Reverso – its reversible case sits at 27.5mm x 46mm, manageable for most wrists (just look at it on that 6.5 inch wrist, above!), along with the small seconds, and white guilloche dial make this pure art deco, pure Jaeger-LeCoultre. The Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Classique has been on my wrist for the better part of two weeks and, to my surprise, it makes a strong case for an everyday watch.
